The Water Authority of Beirut and Mount Lebanon reassured the citizens, in a chat with the National News Agency, that “the amount of water for the present year is acceptable, even though the rainfall was sparse. The snowfall and accumulation have led to a rise in the level of Shabrouh dam’s water level, which thus provides water supply for Keserwan, Baskinta and its neighboring areas during this summer.”
“There will be no interruption in water supply in these areas, unless a technical issue occurs,” the water authority said.
As for the rest of the areas, the authority stressed that “the situation is not bad, and rationing will not begin until the end of summer or late September.”
