WEATHER: “KARIM” BRINGS ALONG RAIN, THUNDER AND ACTIVE WINDS

Friday’s weather is expected to be mostly cloudy, with dropping temperatures and fog over the mountains, coupled with sporadic rain expected to turn heavier as of the afternoon with the arrival of the atmospheric depression labeled “Karim”, bringing along thunderstorms especially in the southern areas, and active winds reaching up to 85 km/hr, mainly across the northern regions. Snow is forecast to fall on as low as 1100 meter altitudes, according to the Beirut airport-based meteorology department.

Mountainous temperatures: 5 to 14 degrees Celsius

Inland temperatures: 3 to 15 degrees Celsius

Surface wind: Southerly to southwesterly, with speeds gusting between 15 and 65 km/hr

Sea: Wavy; surface temperature 16 degrees Celsius
